Nuestra Causa advances civic and political power through organizing, direct service, and leadership development — working alongside marginalized workers, families, and incarcerated communities to drive action and long-term change. Our leadership comes from the same communities we serve. We are not outsiders to this struggle — we are rooted in it, and we build from the inside out.
Our Impact
Each year, Nuestra Causa serves over 8,000 hot meals to families in the Mission District, provides hundreds of hours of peer-led support and leadership spaces, and organizes alongside more than 200+ vendors fighting for their right to work. We run 6 active programs, lead multiple active campaigns, and maintain a consistent policy presence at City Hall and in the state capitol — translating community needs into coordinated action and measurable outcomes.
